Primary image:

Due to increased demand for study spaces and resources by our staff and students, access to the Mile End Library will be restricted during the examination period. Please note that access at our Whitechapel and West Smithfield libraries remain unaffected. The restrictions will not impact on SCONUL users with an existing QMUL membership.

When? From Monday 17 April to Friday 26 May 2017 inclusive
What? There will be limited access for a number of non-QMUL library users. The restrictions will affect University of London students, QMUL Alumni and any visitors applying for a One Day Pass. The restrictions will not affect SCONUL users with an existing QMUL membership
Why? To give our students priority regarding the use of resources and study spaces during the busy examination period
Where? The restrictions apply to Mile End Library only. They do not affect Whitechapel and West Smithfield Libraries
Who?
  • One Day Passes: no One Day Passes will be issued. Exception may be made for Academic Staff and PGRs from other UK universities who can demonstrate genuine research needs (a Student/Staff ID will be required)
  • University of London students: no access from Monday 17 April. New membership applications will be considered after the 27 May
  • Alumni: weekend access only (from 00:00 on Saturdays to 23:59 on Sundays). Business as usual at Whitechapel and West Smithfield Libraries
  • SCONUL users: existing valid QMUL memberships are not affected by the restrictions. No new applications until the 27 May
